The other night Kat & I were preparing for a night of rave with our good friend Mike Kruger and a bottle of wine in front of The Hits. There is truly no finer way to start an evening, so just for the heck of it nearly being Christmas, feast your eyes on these pop gems.
I bet you know all the words too...
is this the greatest music video ever made?

The Lost in Paris Tapes (is this where our name comes from?)
The Lost Paris Tapes is the name of a recorded collection of unedited poems and songs by Jim Morrison. Although Morrison intentionally made the recordings, they are considered bootlegs because they were never officially released to the public in their unedited form.
Most of the recordings were actually made in Los Angeles in March 1969, but when he died in 1971 in Paris they were found among his belongings.

launch in paris
We are indeed a fan of the Electricity Showrooms as it again played host to the party for not only the Bolt Action Five remix EP, but the debut release for our label. It's all about the dance floor
We don't know this guy, but we love that look of sheer joy
Boyband-tastic
DJs included BAF Soundsytem and ace remixers Run Hide Survive
Mehdi was there in spirit
We're all about label promotion
and we're sure a hell about the afterparty (much like R Kelly.) It was at this momentous gathering that the phenonem that is Stickers On Your Faaaaaaaaace began. At first it was enforced, but soon everyone was getting on board

Kat had a strange Sunday
Well... When I was at ITC in Manchester I picked up THE BEST comic ever based on the life of Tom Cruise. It has provided us with hours of entertainment and at least 5 new silly catch phrases for pg/lip gang (YES I have a GANG, I've always wanted A GANG, YES!). The zine was written by the genius David Bailey so I dropped him an e-mail and we now stock the zine at pure groove Whoop! Yeah! High Five!
You definitely need to check Dave's page it has loads of other cool shizzle on there. Here's a sample of the delights of this fabulous tome... (and the reason why me and Alex have been saying "WI THE FI NOT" constantly!)
As a bizarre coincidence it was Tom Cruise day a The Roxy yesterday so naturally I settled down to watch Days Of Thunder, Cocktail and Top Gun.
I would not advise watching three Tom Cruise films in a row because I think I have very likely been mentally scarred by them. If I wasn't then tripping over on the pavement and slamming my head into a glass door certainly did the trick..........
Oh and how could I forget, last night I watched the WORST(/BEST) film ever...

No only is it the official launch of Lost In Paris (we've kinda been shouting about it for a few months) but we're going to celebrate the release of the floor-destroying remixes of 'Tree Freind Tree Foe' by Bolt Action Five.
Featuring mixes by Kissey Sellout, Frank Musik, Hadouken, Run Hide Survive and Dan Le Sac - you can get the 12" here.

He is a Murderer
'Chris Woodhead is just another singer/songwriter. He is not a voice. He is nothing different. He is not going to change anything and definitely never going to help anything.'
Chris Woodhead.
Ignore Chris, this stuff is wonderful. Go Check

the "cheers very much you f*cking punk" blog
It was Halloween in Hoxton Sq and Lost In Paris were enjoying an evening out with friends and companions, doing a bit of DJing, wearing masks and having a few beers.
About Midnight I look up to have a chat with a friend and when I look back down, my bag had been pinched.
I've lived in London forever and luckily this hasn't happened to me before, mainly because I'm hyper obsessive about keeping my belongings close when out.
I'm trying to be all 'yeah man, no possessions, how liberating', but it's not going well. So as an exercise in cleansing, here's a list of everything that got stolen:
phone
house keys
wallet
all my djing cds
ipod
the bag
the fred perry
GHDs
fully loaded monthly oyster
dj headphones
amazing found 80s sunglasses
brand new hat
fancy digi camera
amazing scarf
asthma drugs
ear plugs
hairbrush
brand new tee
tipex pen
sharpie x 3
umbrella
real glasses
justice broach
xcerts badge
£54
chewing gum
the big dog at myspace's business card
a twix
On the upside, I found this, a map of mine and Simon Cymbals' islands drawn (from memory). Simon's is called 'My Island' - original - and it has a huge canopy, much like the millennium dome, to keep all the ladies there looking pale and interesting.
Sad Alex
